Azadwadi Journey
Where it started
Forest Iscool started from my own experience.
In school and college, I always felt that the system pushes you to become someone else.
It focuses on what you should become,
but never really asks who you are,
how you live,
or how you relate to nature and people around you.
That question stayed with me,
and that’s how Forest Iscool began.

What we observed
When we started working with children in the forest,
we observed something very real.
Kids were far more active than they are in school or at home.
They had energy, curiosity, and involvement without being pushed.
Many parents were surprised.
They would tell us their children don’t behave like this at home.
Over time, they also shared that their children became
more emotionally open,
more aware,
more sensitive to how they live and relate to others.
There was less dependence on phones and gadgets.
More connection - with themselves and with their surroundings.
The challenge
But the real challenge started when they went back.
Back to school,
back home,
back to relatives and their usual environment.
The lifestyle there was completely different
from what we were nurturing in the forest.
This created confusion.
Not just for the kids,
but also for the parents.

What we realised
After working in this space for a few years,
we understood something clearly.
Kids are already sensitive and aware.
Its the adults, our lifestyle, our habits and the environment that need healing.
The shift
That’s where the shift happened.
Instead of only working with children,
we started looking deeper into how families actually live.
We began exploring how we can guide parents
to change their home environment,
and create their own version of this awareness in daily life.
We also realised something practical during this time.
The space we were working in was not our own.
It was rented.
And that always created a certain limitation.
There was only so much we could build,
so much we could shape long-term.
At that time, it felt like a struggle.
But looking back, it helped us see something more clearly.
If we really want to do this work deeply,
it cannot be temporary.
It needs a space
that is shaped with intention,
and can grow over time with the people in it.
Going deeper
We took time for this.
Almost two years of stepping back,
researching,
meeting different people,
and rethinking how we want to work.
We realised that if we don’t go to the root,
we will keep repeating the same patterns.
What we work on now
From there, the work naturally moved towards lifestyle and health.
We started working on simple things -
food, routine, movement, and environment.
Understanding how the body already knows what it needs
- for healing, for rest, for nourishment -
if we stop disturbing it constantly.
Today, our focus is more direct.
We work with people on fatigue, digestion, and overall imbalance,
not as isolated problems,
but as a result of how they are living.
And when these things start shifting,
it also reflects in their relationships and family life.

Looking ahead
In the future,
we will again move towards building a physical space.
But this time, it won’t just be a learning center.
It will be a living space.
A place where people of all ages -
individuals, families -
can live, learn, and work on their health and growth together.
One understanding
Forest Iscool showed us one simple thing:
There is a deeper way to live,
to coexist,
and to heal.
And that is what we are continuing to explore.
