Azadwadi conducts a Full Moon walk every month. Every Full Moon has its own importance.
As usual, our walk included a trek in the 🌕 moonlight, a 🔥 bonfire, 🥘 dinner at the moonrise point, and 🎶🪈 some music & meditation. The participants came from different areas of Gurgaon. This time, our entire group was so punctual that we enjoyed both the sunset and moonrise from the top of the Aravallis. After the sunset, the trio of chilly air, bonfire, and flute music helped us bide time for moonrise. With everything at its perfect place and pace, our Chandra Maa rose with a subtle orange-pinkish tinge. The Sheetal Chandni was a perfect addition to our musical, peaceful trio. Most of our attention
shifted to the changing colors of the rising moon; varying from pink, orange, pale yellow to bright white. The Full Moon in the month of February is special as it is the last full moon according to the Hindi calendar. The Purnima in February marks the beginning of the new year, indicative of a change in season with spring ready to embrace us.
After the bonfire, we went to another spot to enjoy a perfect millet-based dinner cooked by our kitchen expert, Sohna Devi. The Samak k chawal became whiter, the Kadhhi became more divine in the milky white moonlight. Everything and everyone basked in the divine moonlight. After this event, I crave to enjoy my food in the open sky. There's definitely something unique and enriching about this experience! The concept of trekking guided solely by the moonlight & delving into food energized by Sheetal Chandni.
Hope to meet more such city enthusiasts who are still interested in exploring Nature without polluting it, finding peace amidst the city chaos, taking out time to appreciate the little Natural Capital left."
